Refunds, postponements, and unused fieldwork

CloudFabric Path Advisory does not sell products through this website and does not operate a checkout. Money changes hands only after a letter of engagement is signed. This notice explains how retainers, unused days, and cancellations work for treasury application reviews. If the letter and this page differ, the signed letter wins.
What can be refunded
A retainer paid before fieldwork is refundable in full if we have not started walkthroughs, extracts, or configuration reading, and you cancel in writing at least ten working days before the first booked fieldwork day. If we have issued a scoping note but not begun fieldwork, we may keep a modest administrative amount stated in the letter to cover the scoping conversation already delivered.
Timeframe to ask
Refund requests should be sent to engagements@cloudfabricpath.digital or made by telephone to +60 03-26916022 and confirmed in writing, within fourteen days of the event that gives rise to the request (cancellation, our inability to staff the window, or a scope we cannot accept after conflict checks).
Partial refunds
If fieldwork has started, fees track work already performed: days on site or on call, sample testing completed, and drafting begun. Unused booked days in the same window can be refunded or, at your option, held as a credit for a follow-up re-test within six months. We do not refund the portion that covers a findings register already delivered.
Non-refundable items
Completed deliverables (findings register, control map, go-live opinion) are not refundable. Bank or vendor charges you incur to grant us access are yours. If we have prepaid a non-cancellable travel arrangement at your request for an on-site week outside the Klang Valley, that outlay is not refundable unless the carrier refunds us.
How to request a refund
Write to the engagement lead named in the letter, copy engagements@cloudfabricpath.digital, and state the engagement reference, the amount, and whether you want cash returned or a credit for later testing. We confirm in writing what is unused versus already performed.
Processing time and method
Approved refunds are returned by the same method you paid (typically Malaysian bank transfer) within fourteen working days after we agree the figure. We do not reverse cards through this website because the site never took the payment.
Cancellation by you
More than ten working days before fieldwork: retainer handling as above. Between ten and three working days: we may keep up to half the reserved-week fee if we cannot reasonably fill the days. Inside three working days, or after walkthroughs have begun: unused days only, as described under partial refunds.
Rescheduling
One postponement of a booked window, with at least five working days’ notice, is normally accepted without a fee if the new dates fall within three months. A second move, or a move caused by access that was never granted, may be charged as a wasted-day fee set in the letter.
Deposits and retainers
We sometimes ask for a retainer to hold a review window, especially before a cutover weekend. The retainer is applied to the final invoice. It is not a separate product. Unapplied retainer after the engagement ends is refunded under the rules above.
No-shows
If operators, IT, or the sponsor do not attend agreed walkthroughs and we cannot test, the day is treated as performed. We will try to re-book once; repeated no-shows let us close the engagement and invoice for work and idle days already reserved.
Work already started
Reading configuration, sampling payments, mapping roles, and drafting are ‘started work’. Stopping mid-review does not unwind those hours. You still receive whatever working papers are fit to hand over at that point, marked as incomplete if they are.
Materials
We do not sell kits, licences, or printed manuals. Client extracts remain the client’s. Our templates stay ours. There is nothing to ‘return to a warehouse’.
When we cancel
If we cannot staff the window, discover a conflict, or cannot obtain independence we are willing to stand behind, we refund unused retainer in full and do not charge a cancellation fee. You are free to take the work elsewhere.
Exceptions
These rules apply to application-audit engagements described on this site. They do not invent a right to refund software licences, bank fees, or another firm’s implementation costs. Statutory rights under Malaysian law that cannot be waived still apply.
