Field Note

A Monday briefing path in seven frames

18 April 2026

Headline, two diagnostics, three details, one ask — a spoken order you can rehearse on the LRT.

Weekly ops packs sprawl because every stakeholder adds a pet chart. Try a hard seven-frame ceiling:

  1. One headline measure with last week vs target
  2. Diagnostic A — the biggest driver up
  3. Diagnostic B — the biggest driver down
4–6. Detail frames for the two drivers plus one watchlist
  4. The ask — decision, owner, date

If a chart cannot claim one of those slots, it waits for the appendix. Teams who rehearse the seven frames aloud before the meeting cut interruptions because listeners already know where the story is going.
